Littlesea, Weymouth is a relaxing park in a beautiful area.
Our caravan on Wey Valley is situated on a flat area in the park, close to the site facilities. Elsewhere the park gently slopes down towards the lagoon and rolls back up on the valley side. There are two pools at the park, indoor and outdoor, both are heated. The pool is equipped with a pool hoist which is available upon request. Other f family fun include: adventure golf, bungee trampolining, climbing wall, the inflatable arena, archery and kids off-roaders! There's a host of evening entertainment including musical shows and quiz nights.
The Mash & Barrel restaurant, serves family favourites and has a great outside seating area. A new addition to the park is the Smash Shack, serving burgers and loaded fries. Papa Johns pizza and Cook's Fish & Chips should have every taste covered. The onsite mini mart sells essentials.
Our accessible caravan has a wheelchair accessible ramp and parking next to it. The caravan sleeps up to six guests, two twin bedrooms, with full size single beds, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The main bedroom has a ceiling type handle pulley. With internal sliding doors and a wet room with grab rails and pull down shower seat it's suitable for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues.
If you want a day out you can take the bus from the park or drive into Weymouth, with it's flat promenade walkway and beautiful multi-award winning sandy beach. Or take a stroll along along to Chesil Beach. Pick one of the many options on the Jurassic coastline, Durdle Door or Lulworth cove or Old Harrys Rocks. Other fun attractions are Monkey World and the Sealife Adventure Park.
Is the park wheelchair friendly? Yes, the medium sized park is wheelchair friendly, although the park is not flat and there are quite a few hilly areas on the park. Access There is disabled access to the reception. the three-tiered main complex is on the ground floor, but just the lower level has disabled access.
How long would it take you to walk from the furthest point in the park to facilities? 10 minutes.
Accommodation areas suitable for guests with disabilities Flat areas of the park include: Wessex Bank, Wey Valley, Chickerell view, plus parts of West acres and Meadows.
Parking There is Blue Badge spaces in the main complex, and a car park speace next to the caravan.
Swimming pools Hoist available in all pools. There's slope access to pool although it might be a little steep. There are no handrails in the second pool.
Changing area Family changing room is also for guests with disabilities. There is an accessible wet room.
Access to sea/beach There's no direct access to a beach from the park. Weymouth is the nearest accessible beach.
The holiday enabled us to have a break away from our routine, enjoy ourselves and spend some quality time together. Thank you so much, we would have been unable to holiday without you and we now have many happy memories to look back on.
